AJ Varick joined Spangler Environmental as on Environmental Technician in 2022 as a team member of the Natural Resources Group. AJ’s primary responsibilities include assisting with wetland delineations, stream delineations, Threatened & Endangered Species memos, permitting applications, and storm water inspections. AJ holds a Bachelor of Science in Earth & Environmental Sciences with minor in Geography from University of North Carolina (Charlotte).

As an intern with an engineering firm in North Carolina, AJ gained experience in wetland/stream delineations, protected species surveying and permitting. AJ believes that conservation and sustainability are two important concepts and how the concepts relate to human and environment interactions. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, basketball, video games, and traveling.
