Alex Hornaday joined Spangler Environmental as on Environmental Technician in 2022 as a team member of the Natural Resources Group. Alex’s primary responsibilities include assisting with wetland delineations, stream delineations, Threatened & Endangered Species memos, permitting applications, and storm water inspections. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences from North Carolina State University.

As a Lab Technician intern with the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation’s Wetland Research Lab, Alex gained experience in performing research fieldwork in the Everglades. Alex’s objective in his involvement in environmental services is to keep natural resources accessible to all communities while supporting sustainable development. In his spare time, Alex enjoys cooking, playing drums, enjoying the outdoors, and thrifting.
